Life
Mood:  energetic

John 12:24-25

24. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a grain of wheat fall into the earth and die, it abideth by itself alone, but if it die, it beareth much fruit. 25. He that loveth his life loseth it, and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

Ok, Carrie Underwood sings a song called Temporary Home.  In the song she sings about a little 6 year old boy who is in the States custody and is moved around from family to family.  She also talks about a young mom who lives in a half-way house trying to get out of it and make her life better for her and her daughter, trying to find a home and a job.  The last person she talks about is an old man, a happy old man with lots of family who has been successful and hes in a hospital dying with his family right by his side... the chorus of the song goes like this:

"This is my temporary home
It's not where I belong
Windows and rooms that I'm passin' through
This is just a stop, on the way to where I'm going
I'm not afraid because I know this is my
Temporary Home."

Deuteronomy 30:19-20

19. I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before thee life and death, the blessing and the curse: therefore choose life, that thou mayest live, thou and thy seed; 20. to love Jehovah thy God, to obey his voice, and to cleave unto him, for he is thy life, and the length of thy days, that thou mayest dwell in the land which Jehovah sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob, to give them.

When you read all three of these passages you read three different things but essentially they're the same.  It sums up life, what we are and who we are and then how we live our life. The first passage in John the Lord tells us that those who worship the worldly things will be of the world and whither away to nothing but those of us who live here to worship and praise our father, those of us who let the world die we will blossom, we will become beautiful flowers, we will have eternal life in our heavenly home.

Which brings me to the next passage, Carrie Underwoods song, it says exactly what we all should no, the 3 people she talks about in the song they know they arent apart of this world anymore, they have either known or just learned that we have eternal life, an eternal home no matter what age they are.  They used to be of the world but now they live every day waiting to go to their eternal home.  The song is great because it shows that no matter who you are whether you're rich, poor, have no home, crack addict...etc, no matter who you are you have the chance to have an eternal home with our father.

The last passage I have from Deuteronomy, is what you learn to do while you are waiting to go to your eternal home.  It sums up exactly what we need to do  to have eternal life.  This passage excites me so much because its sooo easy.  Love the Lord your God with all your might, love Him with every part of your being and obey him.  Accept him, love him and obey him.  Honestly how much easier can it get?? If you choose to do this you will see riches beyond your imagination.  You will be filled with love, joy, and happiness.

This entire entry has really opened my eyes, through writing this tonight the Lord has shown me so much.  He has opened my eyes.... toon in next time to see what the Lord reveals to me this very night =D
